Dr.
Eisenberg has been honored as Surgeon of the Month for his significant
contributions to the field by the Hair Transplant Forum, the official
publication of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery.
Dr. Eisenberg has developed new hair transplant techniques which have
been published in the professional medical
literature. In
addition, he has designed surgical instruments for hair replacement
surgery
and he holds a patent on a novel hair transplant device. Other
physicians have visited his office to learn his hair transplantation
methods.
Dr. Eisenberg is a staff physician at Toronto Western Hospital of the
University Health Network, and is a lecturer at the University of
Toronto Medical School. He has served as a medical consultant for a
variety of television programs including CBC's popular consumer show
Marketplace, as well as for a number of publications including
Chatelaine and Toronto Life Fashion.
Dr. Eisenberg is a Board Certified Fellow of the American Academy of
Dermatology and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and
Surgeons of Canada. He
is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and an active member of the International Society of Hair
Restoration Surgery. He is a founding member of the Canadian
Society of Hair Restoration Surgery.
Dr. Eisenberg received his medical degree from the
University of Montreal and completed his specialty training in
dermatology at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, where he was appointed
Chief Resident in his final year. He has also obtained
specialized training in Hair Transplantation at
various medical centers across the United States.
